Sample Famine Dietary Template

Post by RobRegish »

WARNING: If you at all feel sick, "off" or just not right during Famine, please discontinue. This is (properly done), a healthful, de-tox period. Remember, you HEALTH is far more important than your gains. Speaking of which, you can't gain when you're sick/hurt!

So take care and please consult me in the event you have questions!

This comes from our very own Justin. It's based on a 1,400K/day level but you can easily adjust up or down to hit the suggest calorie levels found in The Blueprint for Famine:

-1 cup of grapefruit juice (200 calories)
- 1 banana (100 calories)
total:300 calories

Meal 2:
- apple (45 calories)
-1 cucumber ( 45 calories )
-1 cup of raspberries (65 calories)
-1/4 cup of almonds (135 calories)
total: 290

MEAL 3:
- salad (leaves +cucumber + olive oil + vinegar)
-1 cup of green tea
total: approximately 250 calories

MEAL 4:
1 multi vitamin and omega 3 pills
1 sweat potato baked (140 calories)
1 cup carrots (50 calories)
1 banana (100 calories)
total:290 calories

MEAL 5
-1 cup of a skim milk ( 90 calories )
-1 apple (45 calories)
-1 banana (100 calories)
-10 celery strips (10 calories)
total:235 calories

TOTAL: 1365 calories

I try to keep protein under 30gms a day in my fast. You dont have to drink milk or eat almonds but at those small servings there isn't a ton of protein

You WANT carbs during Famine. They should make up the majority of your diet, in fact.

Not sure where I went wrong but many have interpreted Famine = "low carb". Not true. Not by a longshot...

Hope that helps. If you need more guidance, I've PM'd you my cell phone #. Happy to answer any and all questions!! :)

In blueprint 2.0 "dietary observations - famine phase #3" you mention low carb as an option to help people manage hunger. is this not ideal then? I would prefer low carb but if high carb works better I will do that.
