Badmoonrising's first run

Post by badmoonrising80 »

Ok guys,

I'm starting my first run.

Any advice appreciated.

Didn't lift in a year due to some back problems and generally life getting in the way.

Started famine last week.

Start: 85 kg
End: 80 kg

RHR was up several beats so I guess I'm good to start feast!

Since I didn't train for over a year I did 3 training sessions with some bodyweight exercises in circuit fashion.

Tomorrow I should start the feast training fase. Goal is recomp.

according to US navy bodyfat calculator I'm at 20% bodyfat so I got some flab to loose.

Normally this would have been a customrun made by Rob but due to circumstances this didn't work out, next run will be custom made
:D

Now I'm not sure where to go with this first run, should I do some form of linear proggression in order to get my numbers back up as fast as possible or should I stick with the workout in the BP?

Gonna have to think about some more, any advice welcome!

Considering the amount of time that you have had off, I would start with something like GLP 1, allowing yourself plenty of rest days. Jumping into 3.0 or something complicated would be biting off a little too much, IMO.
