Tart Cherry Juice vs. Cherry Extract

Post by Mattlaw30 »

Anyone tried cherry extract capsules instead of the juice? Curious to see if its just as efffective for recovery. Caps are cheaper and you would eliminate the sugar so it would seem like a good alternative over the juice. However, I wonder if the whole food juice does something for recovery that the concentrate just can't replicate.

Matt, I was thinking the same exact thing. I've done the math on that and the extracts are cheaper and many are organic. I'm going to try it soon.

I've been using Swanson's Organic Tart Cherry for about 6 weeks. It's pretty good, but not as concentrated as some others that I have had. I tend to like the taste to be pretty strong as I love tart cherries.

The main reason I started using it was that it is organic (which a lot of brands aren't) and it has a decent price.

This is my question also.

An extract or cap would be more convenient but only if it works as well.

Hey everyone, didn't seem like a verdict was reached here...how are the cherry caps vs cherry extract vs cherry juice? I can get tart cherry juice at a store by me $4.99 for 64oz, seems reasonable.

What would be the dosing for the concentrated cherry extract? I'm thinking per dose the cherry juice might be the most cost effective.

I'm starting famine tomorrow and then feasting with AN and Synthagen.

Thanks!
