intermittent fasting versus famine phase?

Post by saud1774 »

Does intermittent fasting accomplish the same thing as the famine phase? Or is this just wishful thinking?

For famine you need:
  • cutting protein to a minimum
    reducing calories a lot

most people doing intermittent fasting will not do either of the two. But for sure you can do famine in IF style; eg. one 1200kcal meal of fruit in the evening every day! Rob even suggest experimenting with Warrior Diet style IF in 2.0.

Correct! Thanks for the assist brother... :)

Famine is certainly different than your classic IF approach. Very specific calorie/protein thresholds need to be adhered to. But yes, practicing IF within this framework has certainly been done - and a worth experiment.

Hope that helps!

Been there, done that.

Famine is much easier done with IF IMO. Huge meal without protein late evening then go to bed and sleep well. 0 calorie rest of the day. Plenty if H2O.
