tweaking the BP - more reps possible?

Post by oliverparsons »

Hey guys, i've been a huge believer in BP2 and BP3 the past two years and got awesome results. I've liked going with GLP 1 but shooting for a 1 rep max on my big lifts (bench, squat, deads) is starting to catch up to me. My shoulders start hurting, i've had herniated disks in my back, etc.

So, has anyone successfully done BP2.0/BP3.0 run with a higher rep scheme? For example, doing the 120 DBs for 5 reps bench feels so much better on my shoulders than struggling for 315 on the barbell.

Would be great to pull off a BP run staying above 3 reps.

Thanks everyone!

I do almost exactly that, as I just can't handle very much of the 1 rep work. I usually stay at 2-3 reps for my really heavy sets and then just use the poundage calculator to figure out what that is for a 1 rep max.
